Evergreen School for Dogs provides professional dog training services for dog owners throughout Stanwood, Washington. Our training programs are designed to help dogs develop reliable obedience, improve behavior, and strengthen the relationship between dogs and their owners.

Whether you have recently brought home a new puppy or are dealing with challenging behavior problems, our trainers are here to help. We understand how important it is to find the right training solution for your dog, and we work closely with you to provide clear guidance and practical training techniques that produce lasting results.

We offer a few ways to train in Stanwood: in-home private lessons anywhere in the city, or public sessions at spots like Lake Goodwin Community Park and Heritage Dog Park, where we work on real-world obedience around genuine distractions.

In-Home Dog Training in Stanwood

Private dog training lessons are one of the most effective ways to address behavior challenges because the training takes place in your dog's everyday environment. During an in-home dog training session in Stanwood, we focus on the specific behaviors you want to improve and develop a training plan tailored to both you and your dog.

Public Training at Lake Goodwin Community Park and Heritage Dog Park

Once a dog is ready to practice around more distractions, we like to work in real-world public settings. We regularly meet clients at Lake Goodwin Community Park, a great spot for leash manners, recall practice, and calm behavior around other people and dogs enjoying the water and trails. We also work at Heritage Dog Park, which has plenty of open space to practice advanced obedience around a variety of real-world distractions once a dog is ready for that level of work. Training across both locations helps dogs generalize their skills instead of only behaving well in one familiar place.

Your First Session

Your first session with us is built around two key parts: understanding your dog, and getting hands-on right away.

Getting to Know Your Dog

We start by learning about your dog's background, temperament, and the specific behavior challenges you're facing. From there, we run a behavior evaluation to pinpoint what's actually driving those behaviors, which shapes a training plan built around your dog rather than a generic checklist.

Putting Training Into Practice

Once we've got a clear picture, we move directly into hands-on exercises targeting your goals. You'll walk away already able to apply what we've worked on, along with a written plan and specific exercises to keep practicing between sessions.

Depending on where you want to take things next, we'll also talk through options like private lesson packages, group classes, or board and train — whatever fits your goals and budget best.

Training Session Details

Your initial consultation and training session runs about 1.5 hours, whether we meet at your home or our training location.

The session is $195.
