Evergreen School for Dogs provides professional dog training services for dog owners throughout Everett, Washington. Our training programs are designed to help dogs develop reliable obedience, improve behavior, and build a stronger relationship between dogs and their owners.

Whether you have recently brought home a new puppy, are working through an aggressive or reactive dog, or need help with everyday behavior challenges, our trainers are here to help. We work closely with dog owners to provide clear training guidance and practical techniques that lead to lasting results.

We offer two ways to train in Everett: in-home private lessons anywhere in the city, or sessions at the Everett Marina, where we regularly meet clients for hands-on training in a real-world setting with plenty of foot traffic, other dogs, and distractions — ideal for practicing leash manners, greetings, and focus in public.

In-Home Dog Training in Everett

Private dog training lessons allow us to address behavior challenges directly in your home and neighborhood. During an in-home dog training session in Everett, we focus on the behaviors that matter most to you and develop a training plan tailored to both you and your dog.

Training in your dog's everyday environment allows us to work on real-life situations such as leash walking, greeting visitors, and maintaining good behavior around everyday distractions right where those behaviors actually happen.

Training at the Everett Marina

For clients who prefer to meet outside the home, we regularly hold sessions at the Everett Marina. It's one of our favorite local spots to work on real-world skills: loose-leash walking along the waterfront, calm behavior around joggers, cyclists, and other dogs, and building focus in a busier, more distracting environment than a backyard can offer. If your dog does fine at home but falls apart the moment there's activity around them, marina sessions are often where we see the biggest breakthroughs.

Aggressive or Reactive Dog Training in Everett

If your dog is reactive on leash, uncomfortable around strangers, or has shown aggression toward people or other dogs, we can help. We build a training plan around your dog's specific triggers, working at a pace that keeps everyone safe while making real progress. Many of our Everett clients come to us specifically for help with reactivity and aggression, and it's an area we have deep experience in.

Your First Session

The first training session is divided into two parts that help us understand your dog and begin working toward your goals.

Assessment and Evaluation

We gather information about your dog's background, temperament, and any behavior challenges you're currently experiencing, and conduct a behavior evaluation to identify your dog's specific training needs.

Hands-On Training

We begin working on exercises that address your goals and your dog's behavior. You'll learn practical techniques you can apply immediately, along with clear instructions and exercises to practice at home.

We'll also discuss additional options that may help you continue progressing including private lesson packages, group classes, or board and train programs, depending on your goals and budget.

Training Session Details

The initial behavior consultation and training session lasts approximately 1.5 hours, whether at your home or at the Everett Marina, giving us enough time to properly evaluate your dog and begin practical training.

The cost for the session is $195.
