In-Home Dog Training in Edmonds

During an in-home dog training session in Edmonds, we focus on the behaviors that matter most to you and develop a training plan tailored to both you and your dog. Training in your dog's everyday environment allows us to work on real-life situations such as leash walking, greeting visitors, and maintaining good behavior around everyday distractions.

The first training session is divided into two important parts:

Assessment and Evaluation

During the first portion of the lesson, we gather information about your dog's background, temperament, and any behavior challenges you may currently be experiencing. We also conduct a behavior evaluation to better understand your dog's individual training needs, allowing us to develop a training plan specifically designed for your dog.

Hands-On Training

After the evaluation, we begin working on hands-on training exercises that address your goals and your dog's behavior. You will learn practical techniques that you can begin applying immediately during everyday interactions with your dog.

Our goal is to provide you with the knowledge and confidence needed to continue improving your dog's behavior between lessons. At the end of the first session, you will receive clear instructions and exercises to practice at home, along with a structured training plan that allows you to begin making progress right away.

Training Session Details

The initial behavior consultation and training session lasts approximately 1.5 hours, allowing enough time to properly evaluate your dog and begin implementing practical training solutions.

The cost for the session is $195.

Additional Training Options for Edmonds Clients

Many Edmonds clients also choose to drive to our training locations in Marysville or Arlington for private lessons. Our facilities offer a structured training environment with space to work on obedience, off-leash reliability, and real-world distractions.

For clients who prefer not to travel, we also offer virtual dog training lessons through Tommy's Canine Academy. Virtual lessons allow you to work directly with Tommy from home while still getting professional guidance and a customized training plan.

For dogs that need intensive training, our board and train programs at our 5-acre Arlington facility are a popular option for Edmonds area clients. Your dog stays with us for 3 or 6 weeks and receives daily professional training while you go about your normal routine.
